Steve Rice is the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Before coming to Shelbyville, he served as the Director of Discipleship & Assimilation on the Kentucky Baptist Convention staff, as Senior Pastor of three other Kentucky Baptist churches, and as a band director.
Steve is married to Laura Thornton and they have three children, Matthew, Lauren, and Andrew along with a dog named Gracee. Steve loves running, motorcycles, and fresh seafood.

Andy McDonald is the Discipleship/Outreach Pastor and the Interim Student Pastor at Shelbyville First Baptist Church. Before transitioning to his current roles, he served as Student Pastor at Shelbyville and other Kentucky and Michigan Baptist churches.
Andy is married to Lisa and they have three children, Drew, Caleb, and Will. Andy loves sports and cheers for the University of Michigan.
Andy is a graduate of William Tyndale Bible College (B.A.), and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.A.C.E.).

Gene Wright is the Worship Pastor at Shelbyville First Baptist Church. Prior to joining the staff, he served at churches in Kentucky and Indiana.
Gene is married to Joanna and they have two children, Jamie and Marcie. Gene loves the outdoors and plays the keyboard for Saddlebred Horse shows across America.
Gene is a graduate of the University of Kentucky (B.M.E.) and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.CM).

Geoffrey McGillen is the Senior Adult Pastor at Shelbyville First Baptist Church. Prior to assuming his current role, he served the church as organist and music assistant. Before coming to Shelbyville, Geoffrey served as Minister of Music at several different churches in Indiana, Texas, South Carolina, and Kentucky.
Georffrey is married to Mary Shannon and they have one adopted son named Jesse Daniel. Geoffrey teaches keyboard privately, runs all kinds of model train gauges for senior adults and children, and accompanies the high school choir as needed.
Georffrey completed doctorate work at Ball State University (D.A. in Musical performance and Music History, 1989) and post-doctorate studies at University of Texas (Austin). He toured as a concert pianist and performed with The Louisville Orchestra along with The Charleston (SC) Symphony. He also taught all levels of public and private education.

Dave Menser is the Pastor of Children and Family Life at Shelbyville First Baptist Church. Before coming to Shelbyville, he served as a Children's Pastor for 10 years in Woodford County. He has also served as a Senior Pastor and as a Youth Pastor. Dave is passionate about Upward Athletics and heads up the program at SFBC. He has led Upward programs for the past 8 years and participated in a mission trip to Brazil to help begin the program in South America.
Dave is married to Karen who is his number one partner in ministry. He has three children. His oldest, J.D. is married and is a youth minister in Bowling Green and also is a professional mascot. His middle daughter, Laura Beth, is also married. Laura Beth serves alongside her husband in Meade County as a youth minister. His youngest, Steffi, is a sophomore at Western Kentucky University. Stephanie was a soccer standout in High School who played collegiately at Campbellsville University before a serious knee injury. Stephanie is studying education. Dave is an avid sports fan. He has coached high school football and loves the Wildcats, Reds, and the Jets.

Luke Wisley is the new Contemporary Worship Leader and student ministry associate at Shelbyville First Baptist Church. As Contemporary Worship Leader, Luke leads worship in the Contemporary Service on Sundays, Celebrate Recovery on Mondays, and the student service on Wednesdays.
